share our assets and insights — and to enhance access to our collections through our traveling exhibit and digitization initiative — as we advance understanding of finance , the capital markets and the global economy through innovative technology .
Our Museum Finance Academy ( MFA ) for high school students was held virtually and offered in two time zones , and it will continue in 2025 , with the top achievers earning partial scholarships . You can read on page five about the outstanding students who earned these scholarships in the Fall 2024 session of the MFA . Our annual “ Retirement A to Z ” series for adults launched on January 28 , with nine programs offered every Tuesday at noon through March 25 . These virtual programs are free to attend , but registration is required . Planning for other in-person and virtual events is currently underway , and all programs will be posted on our website at www . moaf . org / events once registration opens .
Much of the financial support for our free educational classes and public programs comes directly from our annual
Gala , which this year will be held on March 6 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in midtown Manhattan . We are thrilled to honor Dick Gephardt — former Democratic Leader , US House of Representatives — with our Whitehead Award for Distinguished Public Service and Financial Leadership . We will also honor investing legend Peter Lynch , vice chairman of Fidelity Management and Research Company , with our Lifetime Achievement Award . In addition , there will be a Special Recognition Tribute to Art Cashin ( 1941 – 2024 ), who served as the director of floor operations for UBS Financial Services Inc . at the New York Stock Exchange .
We are grateful to all of the companies and individuals who sponsor and attend our Gala each year . And we hope to see many of you — our members , supporters and friends — at our events in 2025 .
The Museum will honor the careers of Richard A . Gephardt , Peter S . Lynch and Arthur D . Cashin , Jr . ( 1941 – 2024 ) at its annual Gala on March 6 .
