Museum of American Finance Announces Plans for New Exhibit Headquarters in Boston
Exciting things are happening at the Museum this Spring. On March 6, we honored Dick Gephardt, Peter Lynch and Art Cashin, Jr. at our annual Gala, with more than 400 of our friends and supporters in attendance at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in midtown Manhattan. The remarks delivered that evening were truly inspiring and can

be found on page 5 of this issue. Also that evening, I announced that earlier that week the Museum had signed a 10-year lease on a brand new exhibit space in Boston.
Planning is now underway to develop and create our exhibits at Commonwealth Pier, the waterfront destination in Boston’ s Seaport that is currently being developed by Pembroke. The Museum will occupy approximately 5,400 sq ft, with an additional 2,300 sf community room adjacent to the exhibit hall that will be available for classes and public programs. Exhibits are scheduled to open to the public in July 2026. Entrance to all of our exhibits and programs in Boston will be free of charge— eliminating barriers to entry and reflecting our core mission of making financial education accessible to all.
Our opening in Boston marks the first time we will have a permanent exhibit headquarters since we left our former home at 48 Wall Street in 2018. We are working with the renowned firm Gallagher & Associates to create world-class exhibits that draw from our collections— while integrating the latest technologies in a partnership with the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology( FCAT).
Visitors will leave our Museum with a greater understanding and appreciation for our nation’ s financial history— much of it centered in the Boston Harbor area— as well as knowledge that will help them better their own financial lives. And, while our exhibits will soon be based in Boston, we will continue to offer in-person programs in New York City, as well as virtual events and classes that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
As planning begins for our new exhibits, sponsor packages and naming rights are now available. The individual galleries will each focus on a particular aspect of our collection and our mission to advance financial education. Please let me know if you are interested in exploring sponsorship opportunities in Boston. Additional information on this project can be found at www. moaf. org / Boston.
